Quiz

The Questions:
1. Which best describes your riding ambitions?
- Barrels, poles, showing, show jumping, eventing, whatever... I
want to succeed in them all.
- 4H, and maybe a few play days. Winning is nice but not the be
all and end all.
- Trail riding in beautiful countryside (you're a free spirit.)
2. Which equestrian personalities do you admire most?
- David and Karen O'Conner or Martha Josey.
- The Saddle Club girls.
- Monty Roberts and Pat Parelli.
3. Select you dream horse(s) from the following:
- Spirited chestnut Thoroughbred/ snowy white Arabian.
- Beautiful palomino all-rounder/ bay Quarter horse mare.
- Anything (other than a lion) that has four legs, a mane and tail.
4. How would you describe your personality?
- I like to stand out in a crowd and say what I think!
- I'm fairly social although can be a little shy at times.
- Sometimes withdrawn, a deep thinker about the meaning of life
(and other stuff).
5. What's your approach to riding a strange horse for the first time?
- Ride 'em cowboy... YEE HAW!
- You spent ages walking, trotting, walking, trotting, getting to
know him.
- Gaze into the horse's eyes to see if he wants to be ridden.
6. Which equestrian discipline do you prefer?
- Anything to do with obstacles of any kind! Anything rodeo!
- Dressage, showing, play daying... a bit of this, a bit of that.
- None really, I just like riding in general.
7. What kind of horsey future are you dreaming of?
- Winning the NFR, Olympics or World Cup Show jumping (not
necessarily in that order).
- To continue learning about horses and being the best rider I can.
- Nothing special... just so long as horses are in there somewhere.
8. If you were a horse in a wild herd, would you prefer to be...
- The Alpha mare. Definitely!
- A wise old mare watching over the colts and fillies.
- Somewhere in the middle of the pecking order.
9. When it comes to riding lessons, do you...
- Have lessons from the best available instructors in your area.
- Stick to the instructors available at Pony Club.
- Who needs lessons? I can stay on okay and learned from the
horse.
10. Which best describes you attitude to horses?
- I adore horses 100%... they are my LIFE!
- I love them but there's more to life than just horses (okay, so
not much more...)
- I love horses, but also cats, dogs, dolphins, ferrets...
Now for the scoring!

The Score:
Mostly a's: You totally love horses and have ambitions of a horsey
career competing at the highest levels you can reach. You need a horse
to match your ambitions, probably a Quarterhorse, Warmblood,
Thoroughbred or Arabian with breeding and scope. Once you've learned
the ropes on an experienced horse, you'll be able to educate youngsters
and ride your way to the top!
Mostly b's: You're definitely a horse-lover but probably don't have any
huge ambitions... as long as you can ride and compete at the occasional
show or play day, you're happy! Any kind of breed would suit you
really... from a Quarterhorse to cross breeds. You're probably adaptable
enough to get along with all kinds of horsey personalities.
Mostly c's: Another horse-lover, you probably don't care about
competing... just give you a horse to amble along the trails and you're
in heaven. Older, quieter horses would best suit you... who wants power
struggles when you just want to daydream and enjoy your surroundings?
Breeding and ribbons don't mean much to you... being 'one' with the
horse does.
